Malayan Horned Frog - mid hop

I was shooting in Malaysia... In the rainforest the distinctive honking call of a Malayan horned toad is the only thing that betrays its disguise. Once heard, you must slowly move towards the sound, but if it spots you the game is on. I used a 2.5 second exposure and accidentally caught the ghost of the toad as it hopped away. #Photography #Wildlife #Shutterspeed #Amphibian #Toad #Borneo

Once heard, you must slowly move towards the sound, but if it spots you the game is on. The frog goes silent, sits still and waits. Get too close and it will suddenly jump and dive into the leaf litter never to be seen again.
