I was at the ancient buddhist temple of Yapahuwa, Sri Lanka. A storm was fast approaching but the scene before me was incredibly dramatic. There was only one thing missing! I waited until a monk kindly paused in the doorway, allowing me to take this shot just before it started to rain heavily. This photograph became the title image for the BBC series ‘Wonders of the Monsoon’ .
